Qualified teachers needed for FLEXIBLE supply work in secondary schools across London.
Location: South/South-West London (SW16)
Type: Part-Time/Full-Time (Flexible Hours)
Start Date: Monday 7th October 2024
Principal Education are seeking passionate and enthusiastic educators, to work as cover teachers in our secondary schools across London, on a flexible daily basis (you can work as and when your schedule allows!). Applicants must hold a QTS, applicants without a QTS will not be considered.
Pay rates for work as a qualiified cover teacher or teaching assistant, in our secondary schools, typically range from £140 – £160 per day for flexible daily work However, if you secure an ongoing role in the one school, then we will aim to pay you a daily rate which aligns with the salaries offered by the respective school.
To be eligible for this role, you MUST:
- Demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Possess QTS, QTLS, or another recognised teaching qualification, entitling you to teach in the United Kingdom.
- Be reliable and dependable, with the ability to accept supply bookings from 7 am in the morning with confidence of arriving at schools in a timely manner.
- Possess strong behavioural and classroom management skills.
- Be flexible and adaptable, willing and able to think on your feet.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, composure, and diligence; to help with building and maintaining an optimal and safe learning environment for vulnerable pupils.
- Possess a recent, enhanced copy of a DBS – or be willing to obtain one from Principal Education.
- Possess an overseas police clearance from any country that you have resided in for six months or more within the last five years, outside of the United Kingdom.
- Be based in a London borough, or within commutable distance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
- Adapt lessons to meet the varying needs of students.
- Provide feedback on student progress and behaviour to regular teaching staff.
- Support the school’s ethos and contribute positively to the school community
