DT Technician urgently needed in the Islington area!

Are you an enthusiastic DT Technician that is looking for new challenge at Academy based in Islington? If this you, the school is seeking the right person to start ASAP.

Principal Education is working with an Outstanding Academy and Sixth Form that is seeking someone that will have an immediate impact on the pupils and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out weekly material/equipment checks and liaise with the head of department in the ordering of materials and equipment
• Demonstrate machinery use to students and offer any technical support during lesson time
• Perform health and safety checks on all equipment and ensure pupils are safe
• Monitor and maintain equipment and stock within the DT department to ensure all pupils are able to access a wide range of materials
• Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons

The Ideal DT Technician

• Can demonstrate health and safety protocols
• Experience working pupils in schools
• Self-motivated and can also work in team
• Holds an Enhanced DBS – Happy to apply for a new one
• Good knowledge working with materials, machinery and equipment
