SEN Teaching Assistant – Urgently Needed – Enfield – ASAP Start
A good rated school that is part of a trust situated in the heart of Enfield is looking for an energetic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and motivated team.
The school is looking for someone that will build on the strong culture they have developed as well as bringing new ideas.
Your responsibilities:
- Work on a 1:1 or group basis with pupils that have Special Educational Needs
- Demonstrate health and safety knowledge to ensure safety at all times
- Keep the pupils engaged and focused on their work
- Support the SENCO and teacher where required
- Monitor and report back to the parents, pupils and any relevant stakeholders
- Be motivated and proactive in the classroom
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEN children
- Enhanced DBS on the update service – We are happy process a new DBS
- A basic understanding of Speech & Language and/or Intervention.
- Be passionate about working with children that have SEN and be determined to make sure that their learning experience is as comfortable and positive as possible
Desired:
- Experience using learning schemes such as Makaton / PECs / Team Teach
