Cover Supervisor with Exam Invigilation – Islington – Long Term

Principal Education is working with an Outstanding Academy and Sixth Form that is an individual that will work as a Cover Supervisor day to day and then an Exam Invigilator during the exam season. The right person will have a positive outlook, enthusiastic and happy to be as part of a team.

Duties as Cover Supervisor

• Supervising pupils, ensuring they are engaged in the classwork.
• Encouraging pupils to interact.
• Helping pupils to become more independent in their learning.
• Establishing trust with pupils, interacting with them according to individual needs.
• Assisting pupils with tasks as needed.
• Creating a safe, positive, supportive classroom environment.

Duties as an Exam Invigilator (Training Provided)

• Ensuring all candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities
• Ensuring the security of the examination before, during, and after the examination
• Preventing possible candidate malpractice
• Preventing possible administrative failures
• Liaising with the examination officer and senior invigilator

You will need a valid Enhanced DBS or are happy to proceed to apply for a new one.

**Experience working in schools is essential**

To qualify for this post, you must hold a relevant qualification with at least three months experience in the last two years.
