History Teacher – Urgently Required – Enfield – ASAP Start       

The academy is a 3 to 18 all-through school in Enfield, with a mixed comprehensive intake. We opened our doors to our first Reception classes in September 2013 and our first cohort of year 7 pupils joined us in September 2014. They currently have over 1700 pupils on roll from Nursery to Year 13. The academy was graded Outstanding in all areas in our Ofsted inspection of April 2015.

The academy is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate History Teacher to join their humanities department.

The Ideal Teacher:

• Teach KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) History
• Teaching acting skills, such as voice and movement, to students in a classroom s Ensure that all teaching is well-planned, in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning policy
• Ensure that all teaching is sufficiently differentiated to provide an appropriate level of challenge for all learners
• Ensure that all students know how their learning is progressing and what they need to do to achieve challenging targets
• Contribute to developing stimulating knowledge based schemes for learning
• Maintain high standards of student behaviour, ensuring all children feel safe
• Report progress to parents in line with the school’s Assessment and Reporting policy
• Where appropriate, use ICT devices and systems creatively to enhance and extend children’s learning experience within and beyond lessons

You must have a QTS or can demonstrate sufficient experience in teaching History.

You must hold an Enhanced DBS or happy to apply for a new DBS.
