We are currently seeking a talented candidate to take on the role of Head of Music in September.

You will joining be joining a community built on shared values of respect, fairness, and hard work. Job responsibilities will include:

o To plan, organise and deliver musical performances across the age groups.

o To ensure that the Music curriculum is creative and innovative.

o To be responsible for the Music Department budget, including planning, recording, and reviewing expenditure as appropriate.

o Lead the development of teaching and learning to maximise student achievement.

o Ensure all safeguarding procedures are in place and staff training requirements are met

The ideal candidate:

o An effective communicator with experience in leading a small music department or team.

o QTS qualified

o Musical, with demonstrable ability to play or sing and understand musical terminology, rehearsal requirements and concert programming.

o Able to lead a range of music ensembles

o Have an enhanced DBS

o Be able to create engaging lesson plans that promote creativity and encourage exploration.
