We are seeking to appoint a talented, committed, and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama to join our dynamic and high-performing Arts faculty from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, fostering creativity, confidence, and a love of performance.
About the Department
The Drama department is a vibrant and integral part of the school’s creative community, with a strong track record of academic success and extracurricular excellence. Students regularly participate in productions, workshops, and partnerships with professional theatre organisations. The successful candidate will contribute to this rich programme and help drive the department forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons across all key stages
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations
- Direct and support school productions and performances
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
- Monitor and support student progress, ensuring high standards of achievement
- Work collaboratively within the Arts faculty and wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Drama or a related subject
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A strong subject knowledge and passion for Drama and the performing arts
- Experience teaching Drama at secondary level (including GCSE; A-Level desirable)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
