We are a high-achieving, girls’ academy in Harrow – is seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Teacher of Latin and Classics to join our thriving Humanities Faculty from September 2025.

The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Latin and Classics specialist who will:

Deliver engaging and academically rigorous Latin and Classical Civilisation lessons at KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5

Inspire students to explore the language, literature, history, and culture of the classical world

Contribute to the enrichment of the curriculum through trips, clubs, competitions, and cross-curricular projects

Support the school’s ethos of excellence, diversity, and respect
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A relevant degree and QTS (or QTS pending for ECTs)

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Latin and Classical Studies

Experience of teaching or readiness to teach GCSE and A-Level Latin/Classics

A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

A desire to contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities
