Teacher of Religious Education (RE)

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, reflective, and inspiring Teacher of Religious Education to join our Humanities faculty from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner to contribute to a vibrant department within a school that places strong emphasis on values, community, and academic achievement.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced applicant. You will play a key role in promoting critical thinking, respect for diverse beliefs, and a deep understanding of ethical and philosophical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging RE lessons
- Contribute to the development of a broad, balanced, and inclusive RE curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress
- Foster an environment of respect, reflection, and open dialogue
- Contribute to collective worship and the wider Christian ethos of the school
- Support enrichment opportunities such as trips, debates, and guest speakers
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject
- A passion for exploring faith, ethics, and worldviews
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to supporting the school’s Church of England ethos
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
