SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a well-established specialist school in South London.
This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to delivering high-quality support to pupils with complex and diverse needs.
You will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, emotional wellbeing, and independence, working closely with experienced teachers, therapists, and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual pupil needs

Support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and complex learning needs

Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans

Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation

Support communication, social development, and life skills
-
Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and multidisciplinary professionals
The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs

A calm, patient, and professional approach, even in challenging situations

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

Relevant qualifications or SEN training are desirable, but not essential
