We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a well-established specialist school in South London.

This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to delivering high-quality support to pupils with complex and diverse needs.

You will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, emotional wellbeing, and independence, working closely with experienced teachers, therapists, and senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual pupil needs

• Support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and complex learning needs

• Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans

• Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation

• Support communication, social development, and life skills

• Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and multidisciplinary professionals

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs

• A calm, patient, and professional approach, even in challenging situations

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

• Relevant qualifications or SEN training are desirable, but not essential
