Science Teacher – Outstanding School – January Start

An OFSTED outstanding Academy based in Islington is seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Science Teacher.

The school has transformed into an exciting environment where pupils and staff thrive as quoted by OFSTED in 2019.

• Have a strong understanding and be passionate about Science
• Support the aims and ethos of the school as defined in the school prospectus and school policies
• Set a good example in terms of professional dress and appearance, punctuality and attendance
• Uphold the school’s behaviour policy in a consistent, firm and non-confrontational manner, as set out in ‘Step-On’ approach
• Carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school’s schemes of work and the National Curriculum
• Maintain a ‘teacher planner’, including the recording of attainment, homework set, pupil attendance and outline of lesson plan
• Liaise with parents about their child’s progress using the school organiser, letters, telephone calls and parent consultation evenings where reasonable and appropriate

You must have a QTS/NQT or can demonstrate sufficient experience in teaching Science

You must hold an Enhanced DBS or be happy to apply for a new DBS.
