Full-Time School Attendance Officer Needed in Hackney
Are you passionate about supporting young minds and ensuring every child has access to education? We’re seeking a dedicated School Attendance Officer to support our client located in the heart of Hackney.
Position: School Attendance Officer
Location: Hackney, London reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Start Date: September
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
Contract: Full-Time
Pay: TBC
Responsibilities:
Monitor and track student attendance records daily
Identify patterns of absenteeism and work proactively to address underlying issues
Collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and external agencies to support improved attendance
Implement strategies and interventions to promote regular attendance and punctuality
Maintain accurate attendance records and produce reports as required
Provide guidance and support to students and families facing attendance challenges
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with attendance regulations and policies
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students and families
Knowledge of attendance regulations and procedures is advantageous
