About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEN Teacher with QTS to join a supportive and forward-thinking specialist setting. This role is ideal for a teacher who is committed to inclusive education and has experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and ADHD.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching that meets the individual needs of pupils, while creating a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs

Teach pupils with ASD, SEMH and ADHD, ensuring access to learning and progress

Create a safe, predictable and supportive classroom environment

Implement positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies

Assess, track and report on pupil progress in line with EHCP outcomes
-
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENDCo and pastoral teams
-
Contribute to reviews, reports, and EHCP meetings

Build strong relationships with pupils, families and external professionals

Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour and wellbeing

Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
-
Has experience teaching pupils with SEND, particularly ASD, SEMH and/or ADHD

Has strong behaviour management and trauma-informed practice

Can remain calm, reflective and resilient under pressure

Is confident differentiating curriculum and adapting teaching approaches

Works effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Is committed to inclusion, wellbeing and pupil progress

Has excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
-
Experience working in a special school or specialist provision

Knowledge of EHCP processes and outcomes
-
Team Teach or positive handling training
-
Experience with sensory integration strategies
-
Subject or phase specialism (Primary / Secondary / EYFS)
