Computer Science Teachers Needed – Secondary Schools in South East & South West London
ABOUT THE ROLE
Secondary schools across South East and South West London are seeking passionate and forward-thinking Computer Science Teachers to deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS4, with potential for KS5. You’ll be helping students build real-world digital skills in programming, computational thinking and IT, preparing them for a tech-driven future.
This role suits:
✔ experienced Computer Science teachers
✔ ECTs with strong subject knowledge and placements
✔ IT/Computing graduates with UK school experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver Computer Science lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 where applicable)
Teach core concepts: algorithms, programming (e.g. Python), data representation, networks and cyber security
Develop pupils’ problem-solving, logical thinking and debugging skills
Track and assess pupil progress, providing clear, actionable feedback
Prepare students for GCSE (and A-Level/Level 3) Computer Science exams
Work collaboratively with colleagues to embed digital literacy across the curriculum
Promote safe, responsible use of technology and online safety
REQUIREMENTS
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS in Computer Science/ICT (or closely related field)
✔ Strong subject knowledge in programming and Computer Science theory
✔ Confident classroom and behaviour management in UK secondary schools
✔ Experience teaching the UK Computer Science curriculum (or strong training placements)
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
✔ Right to work in the UK
✔ Available full-time, Monday to Friday
PAY & BENEFITS
£165–£225 per day (depending on experience and timetable)
