About the Role
Principal Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in Health & Social Care.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while preparing them for further education or careers within the health and social care sector.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons in line with the national curriculum

Teach across KS4 and KS5 (BTEC and/or GCSE/A-Level where applicable)

Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback

Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

Participate in parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and CPD
Essential Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Mandatory

Experience teaching Health & Social Care at secondary level
-
Strong classroom management skills

Excellent subject knowledge
-
Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable

Experience delivering BTEC Health & Social Care

Proven track record of strong student outcomes
