Cover Supervisor (Secondary School – London)
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students stay on task.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.

Provide feedback to the absent teacher on the lesson and student performance.

Maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
Typical Working Hours:

School hours (approx. 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM), Monday to Friday.

Term-time only, with full-time, part-time, and supply/flexible options.
Requirements:
Essential:

Good standard of education (minimum GCSEs in English and Maths).

Strong classroom management skills.

Confidence in dealing with secondary-aged pupils (11–16 or 11–18).

Reliable, flexible, and calm under pressure.
Desirable:

Experience working in a school or with young people (e.g., tutoring, youth work, teaching assistant roles).

Degree-level education, especially for those considering a future in teaching.

Enhanced DBS check (you’ll need this to work in schools).
