ABOUT THE ROLE
Secondary schools across South East and South West London are seeking passionate Music Teachers to deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS4, with potential for KS5. You’ll be inspiring students’ love for music through performance, composition and listening, using both traditional and digital tools.
This role suits:
✔ experienced Music teachers
✔ ECTs with strong placements and performance background
✔ musicians with teaching experience seeking a school-based role
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver engaging classroom music lessons (KS3–KS4)
Teach practical skills in performance, composition and music technology
Prepare students for GCSE (and potentially A-Level) Music
Lead ensembles, choirs or extra-curricular music clubs
Track progress, set targets and provide clear feedback
Work collaboratively with the wider creative arts faculties
REQUIREMENTS
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS in Music (or closely related)
✔ Strong performance and/or composition background
✔ Good classroom and behaviour management skills
✔ Experience in UK secondary schools (or strong training placements)
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
✔ Right to work in the UK
✔ Available full-time, Monday to Friday
PAY & BENEFITS
£120–£220 per day (depending on experience)
