Premises Assistant Needed – Secondary Schools in South East & South West London

ABOUT THE ROLE
Secondary schools across South East and South West London are seeking reliable, hands-on Premises Assistants to help keep their buildings safe, clean and fully operational. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site – from opening up in the morning to making sure everything is ready for staff and students.

This role suits:
✔ experienced School Premises Assistants / Site Managers
✔ caretakers or facilities staff with school or public-building experience
✔ practical, hands-on people happy to get stuck into all aspects of site work

RESPONSIBILITIES
Open and lock up the school, ensuring all areas are secure
Carry out daily site checks, basic repairs and general maintenance
Support cleaning standards and tackle seasonal / deep-clean tasks when needed
Assist with health & safety checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, playgrounds, etc.)
Manage deliveries, stock, and basic store-room organisation
‍♂️ Liaise with contractors and report larger maintenance issues
Make sure classrooms, corridors and outdoor spaces are safe, tidy and ready for learning

REQUIREMENTS
✔ Experience as a Premises Assistant, Caretaker or Site Manager (school experience strongly preferred)
✔ Confident with basic DIY and day-to-day maintenance
✔ Good awareness of health & safety, safeguarding and site security
✔ Reliable, punctual and happy to take on less glamorous seasonal jobs
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
✔ Right to work in the UK
✔ Available full-time, Monday to Friday

PAY & BENEFITS
£100–£130 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)
Long-term and potential permanent opportunities available

Been a behaviour mentor for 4 years and I've been unlucky enough to have only worked with jai bance for the past 3 months.
