Principal Education is hiring reliable, engaging secondary teachers for flexible day-to-day and short-term cover across London. Pick the days you want, build school relationships, and step into long-term posts when it suits you.

The role

• Provide high-quality classroom cover in secondary settings

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons; minimal marking

• Confirm or decline jobs instantly via our bespoke app

You’ll need

• QTS/QTLS (or another UK-recognised teaching qualification)

• Right to work in the UK

• Reliable and punctual — able to accept bookings from 7:00am

• Strong behaviour and classroom management

• Flexibility, composure, and professionalism

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

• Overseas police check if abroad ≥6 months in last 5 years

• Based in London or within a reasonable commute

Pay & progression

• £150–£180 per day (with scope to increase based on consistent positive feedback)

• Pathways into long-term placements paid to school scale
