Principal Education is recruiting a committed and engaging Science Teacher to support secondary schools across South London. We are working with a range of schools seeking strong practitioners who can deliver high-quality Science lessons and maintain high standards of teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may also be available, depending on experience).
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is confident in the classroom, adaptable, and passionate about Science education.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured Science lessons, supporting pupil progress, and contributing positively to the wider school environment. Responsibilities may include:

Teaching Science across KS3–KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)

Planning and delivering lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations

Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
-
Supporting practical lessons, experiments, and lab safety
-
Working collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff team
These are full-time, long-term roles (Monday–Friday), offering stability and the opportunity to make a real impact.
Essential Requirements
You must be able to demonstrate:

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
-
Experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
-
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom presence
-
Effective behaviour management skills
-
A professional, organised, and proactive approach
-
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
-
Right to work in the UK
-
A recent Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
-
Based in South London or able to commute reliably
Pay & Benefits

£160 – £250 per day, depending on experience and responsibility
