This school is Ofsted Outstanding all through school with capacity for 42 pupils. Having recently opened our secondary site, they are expanding their team to continue their high-quality provision of 1:1 support for each pupil.

As a member of a team including TAs, an ABA instructor, and an ABA Supervisor, you will provide outstanding ABA/VB support to children and young people with autism and associated learning difficulties.

You will be based in a class of six pupils, working with pupils both individually and in small groups, delivering a personalised curriculum, using techniques based on the principles of ABA/VB.

Job purpose

• Autism Tutor/Teaching Assistant

• To work under the instruction and guidance of the ABA/ VB Supervisor to assist with the management of pupils and undertake teaching and care for key pupils carrying out pupils’ support programme and enabling independence and access to learning for all.

• Promoting the ethos and aims of the school

• To ensure that the ethos reflects the agreed aims, principles of learning and the policy on equal opportunities and thereby promote the general progress and wellbeing of each pupil.
