3 Days Business Studies Teacher | KS4/5 | Redbridge Area

A secondary school in Gants Hill needs a Business Studies teacher work 3 days a week (Mon,Tues & Wed), delivering KS4 & 5 till the end of the academic year. The school has a parking facility and easily accessible to a station. The school has been serving the local community for the past 30 years, holding a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating last year. The management have a combined experience of 40 years.

You would be lead by an experienced head of department, that also looks after the Computing department.

The relevant candidate would need to:

• Hold QTS or QTLS in Business Studies
• Able to teach every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• To teach Business ensuring high student attainment and progress
• To implement all school policies, procedures, and relevant practices, in particular those relating to Health & Safety, inclusion and equal opportunities of staff, students and visitors
• To implement appropriate marking and assessment policies and learning and teaching strategies used within the faculty
• To actively monitor and track student progress and devise strategies to address underachievement
• To keep up to date with national developments in the curriculum area, teaching practice and methodology
• To ensure curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression for all learners
• To make effective use of the school’s behaviour management system, including rewards and sanctions, so that effective learning can take place
